How to fix the loose screw on your Lee two cavity bullet mold

Uncle Jim | May 2nd, 2018

If you have two of the same taps you can grind the tip of one flat and use it for a bottoming tap and avoid drilling past the hole. “Make sure to measure twice and cut once” ????????????????????????

Thanks for the great video, I have a few of the Lee molds that need that modification.

I started doing this before I even use one, because it’s so annoying having it happen right in the middle of a casting session. No matter how careful you are to lube everything, Lee molds always work loose.
I wish they would just charge a couple extra bucks per mold and do it at the factory. But, I’m used to most Lee products needing a bit of extra work. It’s usually worth it for the price difference between other brands.
