Loading .38 Special +P for the Powder Coated Cast Lead Hollow Point Bullet Test

(The original version of this video was posted to YouTube on March 31, 2017.)

I’m reloading the hollow point and solid bullets for the first two tests in the Powder Coated Cast Lead Hollow Point Bullet Testing series. This series is a long experiment testing powder coated cast lead hollow point bullets made from various alloys and fired at various velocities.

In this video I go through the process of figuring out the Unique powder charge for the .38 Special +P, and then I load the bullets.

*The audio in the video got all messed up for some strange reason. All I really add in the missing audio is that I am using CCI 500 primers.

Hey Bacon, when we cast are own we never seem to get the weights that are in the manuals. You do what I do and hunt different books to get a safe load. It’s always good to test a few at a time 🙂
