Tokarev 7.62X25 load workup using CFE Pistol powder and Hornady 90gr XTP…with results!

In this video I do a “from scratch” load workup using a modern powder (CFE Pistol) in a Soviet TT-33 inspired Tokarev Pistol. This particular pistol is a variant, the M57 Yugoslavian Or Yugo made in the Zastava factory in Serbia. On a side note, now that Yugoslavia is no more, we probably should call Zastava made weapons Serbo’s LOL.
I take you through my thought process and the method I am using while showing my work along the way… ending with measured performance results and observations.
My hope is that even if you don’t load for this specific cartridge you will still take something away from the process.
Obligatory warning: I can in no way guarantee that what you see in this video is safe for you to do, as with all reloading, you proceed at your own risk.

KFW’s recent Tokarev video got me inspired to upload one of mine.
I am retired USAF. I reloaded some as a kid, mostly shotgun, then stepped away for many years. After I retired and could put down roots I got back into it again and over time I have found that I like reloading more than shooting. I find it to be an interesting hobby and it scratches my tinkering itch. Sometime ago I started making YouTube videos mostly about reloading… and well, here we are. Most folks call me Tree Top or TTF.
I am the designer and fabricator of the #TTFpowderstand
