Casting for the 45LC with Arsenal Molds

(The original version of this video was posted to YouTube on November 5, 2017.)

I recently purchased two molds from Arsenal Molds.

.45 Full Wadcutter Bullet – 45-250 Grain FWC
.45 cal Keith Type Bullet – 454424 SWC 260 Grain

I had them made to drop bullets that measure .457″ for my EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter.  You can see my previous video about that revolver here:  My $400 Single Action 45 – the EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter

The powder coat was the Eastwood Rally Wheel Silver.

It was good to watch this again. I remember that these were the bullets you sent me last year to test in my Ruger Blackhawk with over sized chamber throats. They worked great???

Do you use a towel at the bottom of the bucket like others do? b. Some people have been suggesting lately to empty the bucket or allow it to overflow with running water, so… Read more »

Hey Bacon that was a great video. Was surprised that the 452 sizer was able squeeze those larger bullets. I would of thought you were going to have to pound them out ! Lots of questions, don’t know if you want to answer all of them and can understand if you can’t. Did you find that smoking the molds are really not necessary ? ( Full Led Taco ) Do you think heat cycling old molds would be a waste of time ? If you were going to lube powder coated bullets before sizing, what do you think would be… Read more »
