Fixing Lee Mold Handles with Roll Pins

(This video was posted to YouTube on October 25, 2017)

The Lee 6 cavity bullet mold handles are a great budget option for many bullet molds, but some of them require modification to keep from falling apart during casting sessions.  I’ve chosen to fix mine with roll pins.

I’ve had a handle on one of my Lee 2 cavity molds slip a bit. But I just banged it back tighter. I am considering a six cavity mold so this was relevant. If nothing else this has pushed me to a Harbor Freight drill press. But in the meantime, I loved everything about your technique until the claw hammer at the end. Really? No ball peen? I’m kidding, of course. Thanks for all you do and thanks for this site.

That looks lots better than the hose clamps I have on a couple I never get much use from those tiny drill bits. Period. End Quote!

You did exactly what I would have done. Though I have not yet begun the whole bullet casting journey as of yet. I do have some experience repairing and modifying tools from my days as a mechanic.
