MEC 9000GN progressive press review

I made a few adjustment and loaded my last box of 25 and no problems at all. This press is well built. It will take a little time to get used to. The powder bottle has a minimum line you need to stick to because the powder charge starts to lessen, so I did half of the work on the single stage and the powder was done by hand and the rest was finished on the progressive press. Just remember, the shot/powder bar must be in the left position and locked in place to avoid spillage. I believe that the MEC units are one of the best deals because of a reasonable price and excellent quality in their construction, Plus your finished product (Shells) is as good as any made on other machines. If you don’t have one yet, I am a big fan of the adjustable charge bars made for MEC presses. I wish I could get one in hornady pacific pattern for my BAER press.

I envy your nice machine, Mr. Ocean. I have a much older version, and I don’t think I like it any better than single stage, though I do like how the operations are finely adjustable.
