45acp different primer sizes?

Showing you that 45acp brass can take large pistol primers or some have small pistol primers.

Jesse: I see you found out about the Small Primer cases. Most are head stamped Winchester NT or “Non Toxic.” It looks like that is what you are showing.. The biggest problem with these is even though you sort before loading it is hard to discern between large and small hole by just glancing . Net result here is that you end up trying to stuff a large primer into a small case. This usually ruins the primer but doesn’t hurt the case, so what you do is collect them until you have a bunch and then swap you primer… Read more »

I sort, then paint the head of the case. no difference in ignition.

I found my reloads with the large and small primed cases using the same charges, components,load technique ect, the small primer had lower recoil, so assume lower velocity but no chrono to back up factually.
