Bullet puller from 12 gauge hull.
Shooter, caster, handloader
👍 quick and painless, throw em the 420 and make new ones 😀
Ya , you can remelt the jacketed bullets for the lead also and the loss is minimal .
Good idea, James. However, wouldn’t this pretty much render the bullet unsuitable for reuse? That’s the only reason I use a kinetic bullet puller, because then I can use the bullet in another load. I still have a bunch of 5.56 that I have to break down, since I decided not to shoot 5.56 again, only .223. This would be a lot faster, with less pounding, than using the kinetic bullet puller, but I would want to reuse the projectiles again. Any ideas?
I use the kinetic puller for jacketed bullets that I want to save also , But for cast bullets and for speed I go this way . I can save the lead and remake the cast bullets . This was from a video where Tim had a lot of cast bullets to pull .
I agree, it’s a good idea. Now I’m going to have to scour my shooting site to find some 12 gage hulls. All I have are 20 gage, and those would be too small
If you want to use this method with the vice grips or regular pliers… Use hot glue on the jaws as a protector. Just blob some hot glue over the jaws and let it harden back up. Problem solved.
Ya , good idea
