Any chance you could post some clear close-ups of the crimp?

What is the case mouth diameter on the over crimped Winchester cartridges and what is the freebore dia of your chamber as taken from a chamber cast?

Sorry you’re having these issues with what used to be a good, reputable ammunition manufacturer. I haven’t bought any of their products for several years, but still disturbed by the lack of Q.C., when it is THEIR patented caliber!
Glad you didn’t blow your face off, or damage your firearm any more than the buffer. Maybe you should stick to your reloads. At least they work.
Stay safe, Brother, and don’t risk yourself to prove a point, you’re too valuable to the people who mean the most

You said it they haven’t made a new cartridge in a decade they forgot how. Thanks for the PSA . The more I look at the 350 Legend the less I like seems a lot of people are having issues in bolt guns as well as MSR’s guess I’ll stick to my 458 for now.

You could try a trick I use on 450 Bushmaster. Use a Lee Factory Crimp die, but set the cartridge on top of the shell holder, not in the shell holder. The crimp will them take place well below the case mouth. You can grind down a shell holder top to allow the same thing. Only use the modified shell holder for crimping. This is similar to stab crimping. It leaved the case mouth full diameter for headspacing.

I trust my handloads completely, factory ammo, not so much.
