If you are going to have a problem, that is the one I’d rather have.

A man has to know his limitations…. I wish all lessons were that easy.

Not an idiot, but rather, a member of the “I’ll clean it later” club. .22LR, for being such a small round, can leave a lot of powder residue in the action and barrel.
Happy to see your little Ruger is performing well. They make some good firearms, and as long as you do your part, they should do theirs.
Watch for a decrease in accuracy, and then know that it’s time for a cleaning

Don’t feel bad I did the same thing when I got my Savage MKiiFVSR. I did all my ammo testing with out cleaning the gun. Probably 4-500 rounds, and nothing seemed very good. Clean the rifle every 100 rounds and single hole groups at 50.

Welcome to the club! Thanks for sharing the solution. Any idea how many rounds you had thru the barrel before the cleaning?
