I like the better adjustability of this brass catcher, over the Caldwell. The ability to position it farther away from the upper is a definite advantage over my Caldwell and Tac Star catchers. The one drawback of these open mesh designs is that the hot brass will sometimes melt into the nylon, and not drop into the pocket. My Tac Star is fabric directly across from the ejection port, and doesn’t have the brass sticking problem. But overall, I like this reviewed brass catcher better than the 2 I have, and will have to buy a couple of them! Thanks… Read more »


Hey Buffalo, I’ve been looking at these and trying to decide between the Caldwell and that one. This one is much cheaper and if it does the job I’m all in. The Caldwell is like thirty something dollars ! One question, the mount to hook the basket to seemed a little different on the 458 than it did on the side charging upper. Does that come with two ? Thanks for the video 🙂
