Triple Seven Powder, The Range And The 500 S & W Magnum Rifle From Beginning To End

The barrel makers informed me that the 500 S & W barrels were not as accurate as some of their other calibers suggesting that 2″ groups at 50 yards would be the best that I could get. Hodgdon Triple Seven powder offers us our own hunting seasons, so let’s see if we can beat that 2″ standard…that is the challenge

Ahh the joy of BP. Ya need to mount a fan under the barrel to blow the smoke away so you can see what you hit 🤣🤣! That definitely looks like fun and that last group was pretty impressive considered considering the fouling,etc. Great video!

Hey Steve, I would think using two of those dampers would be a nightmare to balance. It looks like you fine tuned them just right.
Did you make friends with the blk powder smoke at the range ?? :-))

You can use that configuration of rifle for black powder hunting? Our black powder hunting requires muzzleloading, no breech loading. Great groups.
