Great history lesson. Still have dad’s Win 94, but it’s got a unique story. It’s a .44-40 rechambered by Dick Casull in .45lc, as he was developing his now famous .454 Casull round.
Shot my only buck with it at 16 in 1977. Dad picked up the rifle in 1958 or 59 while working a nearby ranch in WY.
Not a 30- 30, but I love that rifle.
Thanks.

Great story time, Fuzzy! Growing up, the majority of my family hunted with 30-30’s. Maybe a 303 British, a 30-40 Krag, and a couple had 6.5×55 Swedes. But at the end of the day, more deer were hanging around the hunters who used 30-30’s! Next year I hope to have my Glenfield (Marlin) ready to use on the hunt!

When I was a kid Fuzz, I didn’t know there were any other calibers. Every pick-up truck in Texas had a Win 94 in the back window.
