Verifying zero in preparation for the deer hunt with the T/C Compass .243
2A On A Budget
Hope you get some footage on the kill. That 243 should do well👍
I’ll get a bunch of footage of the hunt. Are you still planning on going, yourself?
Good stuff Jerry. I’ve took a lot of deer with a 243 and 100 grain bullets. Put the shot right behind the shoulder and it turns lungs into jello soup lol. I like PPU ammo and the brass is great. Hope y’all have a great hunt👍🏻
Thanks Pastor. This will be the first hunt with a .243. Most of my life I hunted with my old Mauser 30.06, but my eyes don’t work as well as they did 30 years ago, when I last hunted. Yes, it’s been that long since I last hunted (for reasons I won’t go into), but a lifetime of swordsmanship won’t diminish my abilities to hunt. I’m most excited to finally get the chance to hunt with my Son. And I believe the .243 is perfectly capable of bringing home the venison. I’ll get some footage of the hunt. Thanks Brother.
Can you remember the days when a day on the range was all about you and your rifle? Today we are totally distracted with all this video BS…but…Cuz, you’re doing a fine job of both!
Thank you. I changed my scope so many times over the past few months, trying to chace different powder charges, I needed to get back to the zero for the rounds that I was going to use for the hunt. I’ll probably never need to change the zero again, since I’ll be using the same formula for this rifle, for quite some time. Always appreciate your help
