Awesome! You’re going to love casting. Might I recommend checking out the articles over on the Los Angeles Silhouette Club website that pertain to casting. I read every one of them several times and it really helped me prepare and know what I was getting into right away. I think it’s LASC.com IIRC. Next you’ll be building a PID controller and collecting bullet molds. If you need anything, feel free to reach out to any of us here Jesse. Especially Charlie Irby, he is a GREAT help to us here.

Jesse, I believe you made the right choice of a casting pot. Just be prepared to experience the “drip-o-matic” effect from the 4-20. Just something that all 4-20’s do, and not that big of a deal. I’ll try to get you a “heavy” care package put together for you soon. I haven’t forgotten about you, Brother

It didn’t take much to get into powder coating as i had a like new little oven. Thankfully i have most of my reloading gear already as i can’t… Read more »

I know how that goes. 👍😁 It seems like once you start you just keep going further down the whole.😂 next thing you know you will have 20 or 30 different molds. Just because you can. Don’t ask me how I know.

I used to love casting for my .45. I used to be able to make rounds for about $0.06 a piece.

Outstanding Jesse! It is a rabbit hole, and it’s a great one. It’s one of those things that’s easy to learn but you can spend a lifetime exploring.
