Current State Of Ammo Buying In California With Background Checks

It’s been several months since the background checks law on ammo purchases in California went into effect, and I have avoided any ammo purchases during that time. Let’s see what happens when I buy 100 rounds of 45 Colt ammo at the range. It took an extra 10 minutes, a $1 state fee (up to $19) and there were forms in triplicate, but thankfully, I passed the background checks and got my ammo…

Hey FC I havent had to buy any ammo in years, but now living in Cali, I was invited on a quail hunt and needed to get some 12 gauge steel shot rounds. Well I just moved into a new house a few months ago, and I found out if your address on your licenses doesnt match your current address you get denied. I agree, Steve; just more beauracracy, and the entire process probably won’t make a difference, except to law-abiding citizens trying to pursue their Constitutional Rights. Keep up the struggles, behind enemy lines, we’re praying for you.
