(This video was first posted to YouTube on November 17, 2017.)

Shooting the 44 Magnum cast with the large round hollow point, 1:16 alloy with a BHN of 10.4 into Clear Ballistics Gel from my S&W 29 with a 6.5″ barrel. This series is a long experiment testing powder coated cast lead hollow point bullets made from various alloys and fired at various velocities.

The thicker rim around the HP cavity is tougher to get open but I think it allows for a little deeper penetration before the parachute starts to open!
The corners inside the Penta HP cavity are where the lead is thinnest and is, I think the easiest to get to open but I imagine the penta may have the narrowest window of acceptable performance….< just thinking out loud.

Those are very impressive. I am leaning toward getting a .44 magnum I think. So many choices.
