6 5 Grendel pt 6 – Reloading to Range – Just before the Stay at Home Order :(

Custom build 6.5 Grendel AR-15 – Scope mounted and first range shots. First reloads using 8208 XBR and H335 with Barnes 140gr Match BT Bullets. The good, the bad, and the ugly all show their faces with stabilization with one of the powders…even at 50 yards. B.Kings Firearms upper/lower, Magpul stock, Larue MBT trigger, Fail Zero 6.5 Grendel BCG BCA 20″ barrel, Deflector Brake, and custom desert camo snakeskin coating job.
Reloads made with new Hornady Brass Cases, MEC Marksman press, RCBS Charge Master Lite (and other scales), and Remington 7/2 BR primers.

Keep in mind that the Hornady 6.5G brass is going to be around 0.008″ undersized for headspace, until fire formed. I got the same brass for my Grendel. As soon as the weather breaks, planning a comparison video between new and fire-formed. I also gave my new brass complete preparation, including flash hole deburring. I have never dreamed of using 140gr bullets. The heaviest I use are 129gr SST, and I get some awesome .4-.6″ groups. Those in the 2400fps range. Faster, and my groups fall apart. I don’t chase speed.
