Happy Halloween..!! The 38 Special was originally loaded with black powder in 1898. The 357 Magnum came out in 1935 and was never intended to be loaded with black powder or substitutes. Let’s go ahead and do that using Hodgdon Triple Seven FFFg powder and see if there is any utility there… FortuneCookie45LCFortuneCookie45LC started posting […]
No POWER in the shop…No PROBLEM…it’s ‘Old School’ today using the turret, beam scale and a Lee dipper. Kenny at Eagle Eye Shooting sent me this old, out-of-production mould to enjoy. This is the old cast round that LE used to carry back in their ‘.38 Special wheel-gun’ days. They referred to it as a […]
Kimber, why would you do such a thing to us? mr.revolverguy

Shooting the 38 Spl +P, solid nose (RNFP), 1:40 alloy with a BHN of 8.0 into Clear Ballistics Gel from my Ruger LCR.
Range day finally 😀
A redo of the test a performed a couple days prior shooting the 38 Spl +P, Hollow Point, 1:40 alloy with a BHN of 8.0 into Clear Ballistics Gel from my Ruger LCR.
Shooting the 38 Spl +P, Hollow Point, 1:40 alloy with a BHN of 8.0 into Clear Ballistics Gel from my Ruger LCR. This was the very first test I shot in this series.
I needed a way to consolidate and compare the information from all of my powder coated cast lead hollow point tests.
Today I will do an overview for my Smith and Wesson 686 Plus.
This is simply a collectors item for me because of the sentimental value and beautiful work by Turnbull.
Testing out 15.0 gr of H110 for the 357 and testing some plinking ammo from Accura for the 38 special with Titegroup.
Testing out some 38 and 357 loads with Hornady XTP bullets and Titegroup for the 38 and H110 powder for the 357. Shooting SoCalI’m just an average shooter here in sunny Southern California. Most of my shooting is done from the bench at 100 yards for rifles. I reload for accuracy and economy. I want […]
2 weeks later I’ve made my decision after trying a few different methods/calibers & quantities. Results are....She’s a keeper but I see room for improvements from FA. Mainly being rubber lined.
Just in case
In this video, I test some bullets from Willie Bulletman and TinMan, shooting the S&W 6″ 586 and the CZ 75BD. The shooting was at Live Fire Weapons and Range. Check out these channels. They’re good guys are really fun to watch. Thanks for watching, and may God bless you all real good! Willie Bulletman- […]
Very Rare S&W 940 Chambered in .356 TSW According to the S&W Catalog there were only 300 of these revolvers ever made. Not only are the revolvers and pistols hard to find, the 356TSW ammo is just as hard to locate. This makes it an extreme pleasure for me to be allowed to have this […]
During filming my phone ran out of storage space, so this is the little footage I did manage to get. Using 3 different brands of ammo 357 Mag Remington JSP worked well, Perfecta 38 SPL also worked well no problems. I purchased Fiocchi 158 gr 357 Mag from the range ($25.99/50rds ouch), problem after problem […]

As of this table top review the Kimber K6S has 125 rounds down the pipe.
The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .38 Special +P is a small 5 shot revolver designed for concealed carry. It's been around a while but this is my first time shooting one.
Yet again another day on the range with snub nose revolvers trying out the defensive shoot challenge. The S&W model 64 has reigned supreme; let’s see if the Ruger Service Six can dethrone the king.
Is the young contender Kimber K6S capable of dethroning the old champ S&W model 64?
